I became aware of homeopathy back in 1998, after watching the programme World in Action when Catherine O'Driscoll, founder of Canine Health Campaign, highlighted the scam of the annual vaccination system for animals and discussed the benefits of homeopathy with Homeopathic vet Chris Day.
My dog Lucky had just had his annual booster before this programme was aired but three months later, he began losing his fur on his front leg and it was rapidly spreading up towards his body.
We were very lucky to have the best Homeopathic vet in the country, John Hoare, otherwise my homeopathic experience might have died there and then. We spent half an hour with him, answering all sorts of questions about Lucky, after which he gave me three tablets. He gave Lucky one there and then and told me to give the other one the following night and the third one the night after that. I then had to wait two weeks and observe results, by which time the fur had started growing back so he didn't need to see Lucky again.
I was so impressed, having never witnessed anything like that and knowing how conventional vets are unable to treat - often putting the animal to sleep if it became too severe - that I wanted to learn everything about this wonderful healing system; a 'learning' that is forever ongoing!
There are many healing systems but Homeopathy is a 'complete' healing system in its own right. Samuel Hahnemann, its founder, was a Scholar and well respected by everyone who knew him; even scientists consulted him for advice. He became a doctor because he wanted to cure people of their illnesses, but he found that most people were worse off visiting a doctor than had they not bothered. He became disillusioned and could no longer work for a system that was flawed. Many years on, he developed a system of healing based on Ancient Knowledge.
I've used homeopathy on myself, my animals and my family with great results and have never had a failure. I've even used it to remedy a situation that would otherwise have had me on conventional meds for the rest of my life (dread the thought!) I've a lot to thank Samuel Hahnemann for, without which Homeopathy would never have been discovered in any way, shape or form.
I am now studying with the British Institute of Homeopathy for my Diploma, which includes studying Anatomy and Physiology. I am also taking David Little's archived course, which covers homeopathy in more depth and is like going on to university after being at college - such is the scope and depth of Homeopathy.
